Licensed New Mexico Paramedics, Intermediates and Basic EMT’s - is applications for the positions of Licensed New Mexico Paramedics, Intermediates and Basic EMT’s. Interested applicants must submit an application to: City of Tucumcari, P.O. Box 1188, 215 East Center Street, Tucumcari, New Mexico 88401. All applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalency, a N.M. Drivers License and be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening. Police Officer - Applicants must have a high school diploma, or GED, be a minimum of 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have a clear criminal and driving record. Law enforcement experience and certification is preferred, but not required. Written, oral, and physical agility testing will be administered. Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug test. Wastewater Operator Position Opening Notice: The City of Tucumcari is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Wastewater Operator. Persons interested must have a High School diploma or GED, and a valid New Mexico Drivers license with no major driving infractions. In addition applicants must have or be eligible to obtain Wastewater Systems Operators Certification up to and including Level IV issued by the New Mexico Environmental Department. Preference will be given to those with current Wastewater operator certification. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Operations and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment plant and lift stations with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required. Position open until filled; salary depends upon qualifications.
Risk Manager: The City of Tucumcari is currently accepting applications for the position of Risk Manager. Starting salary is $29,654. Applicants must be able to perform a wide range of duties focused on Risk Management and Safety procedures as outlined in the job description. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relavent field from an accredited four year college or university; at least five years of increasingly responsible professional experience, including significant administrative and management experience with a strong emphasis on insurance, risk management and safety; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CDL Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator for the Streets Department: The City of Tucumcari is currently accepting applications through August 22, 2008 for the position of CDL Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator for the Streets Department. Applicant’s must have a valid CDL license and be able to follow instructions as outlined in the job description. Duties would include, but not limited to driving large trucks and equipment, loading and unloading with safety control, securing cargo and light maintenance. Dispatcher at the Police Department. The City of Tucumcari is currently accepting applications through August 22, 2008 for the position of Dispatcher at the Police Department. Starting salary is $7.76 per hour plus excellent benefits. Applicant’s must be able to follow instructions as outlined in the job description, have excellent communication and comprehension skills and be able to follow instructions. Some duties will include, but not limited to: recording and relaying calls, broadcasts and complaints between authorities and the public, receiving and transmitting messages internally and between law enforcement agencies and monitoring alarm systems.
